Stealing a Kiss by the Barn
For their engagement pictures Adria & Ryan wanted to go outside the city to show off Colorado’s stunning red rock formations and natural beauty. So I brought them to South Valley Park, a space I discovered a few months ago that I had originally planned to use to photograph a wedding party, but had to skip on the wedding day because of bad rainy weather. Thankfully we had perfect weather for their engagement session. The only thing we couldn’t avoid were all the mosquitoes, thanks to all the wet weather we’ve been having this summer.

Adria & Ryan are both from Canon City, about 2hrs. south of Denver, which is where they will be getting married in just a few weeks. Now they live in Parker where they have been spending a lot of weekends fixing up their new home together.

After walking and playing around the hiking trail we got back on the road and drove down to an old vintage barn. It was in decrepit conditions with falling apart walls and overgrown with weeds, but sometimes its these odd findings that make for great pictures!

Adria & Ryan warned me that they weren’t very good at having their picture taken, but looking at the results I think they did a fabulous job! I’m excited to photograph these two love birds for their upcoming wedding at St.Michael’s Church and Robinson Mansion in Canon City.
