I recently had the pleasure of photographing little baby Ian at just 6 weeks old. I met up with Ian’s parents at their home in New Orleans where the baby prefers to spend most of his days and could easily be comforted by his routine daily needs.

It just happened to be an LSU game day so the parents, Amie & Mike, both had LSU shirts on which also made a perfect mini backdrop for baby Ian’s first portrait session.

With newborn photography patience is key. As much as you want them to look, curl, or lay a certain way…they very likely will instead just want to cry, eat, or participate in much less pleasant baby activities. Thankfully, even when they are pouting they still can take the cutest baby pictures.

Lots of loving from mom & dad definitely helped cheer up his mood. He wasn’t digging the hats very much so we had to be quick with those pictures.
