Lauren & David tied the knot at Pastures of Plenty Farm in Longmont, Colorado.  As neighbors in college I don’t think they imagined they would one day be walking down the wedding aisle together.  But not long after they formally met, their first date was planned and they soon become much more then just neighbors.

Pastures of Plenty Farm is one of the most unique wedding venues I have photographed at in Colorado.  Its a working farm full of flowers and organic fruits and vegetables.  When I first arrived on the property there were a few random chairs placed about and an empty white tent.  It was as rustic as you could get.  But within the next hour or two the staff, along with Lauren & David’s family & friends, magically transformed the space into a beautiful wedding venue.   A delicate vintage chandelier hung from the tent and the tables were fully decorated with lots of red roses, greenery, and candles.  The bride’s mother did a fabulous job putting most of the wedding details together.   And Lauren even spent a few days making homemade jam for all her wedding guests to take home.  And even though it was quite hotter then expected for late September, we were pretty lucky to have a beautiful sunny day void of any rain clouds.

There is a cute little cottage house on the property where the bride and her wedding party can get dressed.  Lauren looked absolutely stunning in her modern strapless dress with unique flowing ruffles that she found at the Denver boutique Blue Bridal.  Her sister was the maid of honor, and only bridesmaid, and she donned a sophisticated navy dress from Nordstrom

The held an intimate ceremony with about 80 of their closest friends and family.   Keith, of Weddings by Keith, did a great job performing their ceremony.  I loved how he got all the guests to stand up and introduce themselves to each other before the ceremony started, and he incorporated a lot of personal stories about the bride and groom making it a truly unique ceremony.

After the ceremony I walked around the grounds with Lauren & David, capturing their love in pictures.  There are lots of beautiful backdrops around the farm for pictures and down the dirt road outside the venue I found a stunning sunflower field that made for some amazing pictures as well.

When we got done with pictures it was time for the couple to join their guests for cocktail hour followed by a delicious freshly made dinner prepared by the venue.   Good food is important to this couple, as it should be, and they certainly had a 5 star meal for their wedding day.

Following dinner Mark Diamond and his trio played requested songs for Lauren & David’s first dance, as well as her dance with her father below.  The band did a great job entertaining the crowd with their music all through the end of the night.

A Fun Sparkler Exit

The wedding may have ended (with a fun sparkler send-off), but their lives together are now just beginning.  I’m sure everyone would agree that it was an amazing wedding and this couple are amazing together.  Thanks so much Lauren & David for having me be a part of your special day.
