Sarah & Bradley’s Picture Preview: Wedding at St. Frances Cabrini Church & Highlands Ranch Mansion

It was just a few weeks ago when Sarah & Bradley had come to town to finish planning their Colorado wedding and we did their engagement pictures in Lakewood. And now it was the day they had been waiting on for so long…when all their planning and hard work would come together to create the most memorable night of their lives.
The day started off with hair & makeup at Girls & Curls. Then the girls finished getting ready at the gorgeous Highlands Ranch Mansion. There are very few wedding venues that have such a beautiful room to prepare in…and even fewer that have two rooms for just the girls, plus a huge antique bathroom!

The girls looked stunning in their bright blue bridesmaid dresses from David’s Bridal. And the bride left every girl in the room speechless once she put on her stunning Michelle Roth wedding gown from the famous Kleinfield Bridal in New York.

After some fun pictures with the bridesmaids it was time to depart for the chapel! About 100 guests from all over the country came to Colorado to take part in their wedding day. The church was full, the guests were anxious to see the bride, and the groom was excited as can be to see his future wife come down the aisle.

Their wedding at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Parish in Littleton, Colorado was beautiful and memorable. Father Brady was an excellent and emotional speaker that had everyone tuned in with tears & smiles. Sun poured through the rooftop windows creating an enchanting glow over the altar.

Its often those unexpected candid moments that are my favorite. Such as this one below when the groom grabs his mother’s hand as they head down the aisle now as husband and wife. Not only do I love the mom’s look of approval and gratitude, but also the groomsmen’s wide grins in the background as they watch from a distance.

After the wedding ceremony concluded there was lots of hugs & congratulations, then we all took off in the limousines for their reception at Highlands Ranch Mansion. Its a nice treat when there is room in the limo for me, I love being able to capture those pure moments of excitement and joy when the bride & groom realize they are now husband and wife. One comment I often hear right about this time of the day, and I certainly remember saying myself on my own wedding day, is how surreal it all feels, like a dream that isn’t real….but thankfully I have the pictures to prove it was!

Soon after we started doing pictures in front of the mansion dark heavy rain clouds started rolling in. With just a few minutes to spare before we all got rained on I quickly finished up the wedding party pictures. It may have forced us to rush things a bit, but I love how the storm clouds created such a dramatic sky as seen below.

We quickly found some covered spots for the bride & groom’s pictures once the rain started. Luckily my camera can handle a little moisture so I didn’t mind standing in the light rain for this shot below.

After pictures was done it was time to bustle the dress and enjoy a superb dinner created by Rocky Mountain Catering. Event Rents helped decorate the reception and Michelle from RG Consulting Wedding & Event Specialists kept the whole night running smoothly.

After dinner & toasts Sarah & Brad took their positions for their first dance as husband and wife. The bride & groom glided on the dancefloor as the Spotlight Band performed their chosen song.

Dawn Ellis of Littleton Flower created the beautiful blue & white flower arrangements for the wedding. And one lucky girl was ecstatic to catch the bouquet symbolizing that she would be next to get married.

Sarah & Bradley and all their guests had a blast dancing, mingling, and getting silly photo booth pictures created by Red Door Photo Booth. Below the bride and groom get goofy with the photo booth props.

The wedding, as always, flew by in the blink of an eye. By the end of the night the rain was pouring down, but it certainly didn’t rain on anyone’s parade as everyone left the wedding with huge smiles and wonderful memories.
