Chesley & Dave’s Wedding Picture Preview
We first met up with Chelsey & Dave for their wedding at the Brown Palace Hotel in downtown Denver, where the bride would get dressed and they would see each other for the very first time. I loved Chelsey’s stunning red shoes and intricate dress. She also wore a vintage yet modern birdcage veil and carried a bouquet of colorful flowers created by Nature’s Palate.

Chelsey & Dave decided to do a first sight at the Brown Palace. We had them walk from each side of the building until they met at the infamous corner of the Brown Palace. It was an emotional moment for the couple, especially for the groom as he spotted his stunning bride for the very first time.

After a few quick pictures at the Brown Palace we all headed to the Space Gallery in the Arts District on Santa Fe. We got most of the formal pictures out of the way beforehand while we still had a lot of light, and so that the couple could enjoy more of their reception time with their guests. Wedding coordinator Angela and her great team from Extraordinary Affairs at 5280 helped keep us all on schedule and handled all details to allow the bride and groom to relax and keep their wedding day running smoothly.

There are a lot of fun wall paintings and graffiti around the Santa Fe Arts District which makes for some unique wedding pictures. The bridesmaids’ modern black dresses complimented all the bold colors of the gallery and the neighborhood. And the men were styling as well in their black and grey tuxes and matching brown shoes. Below the wedding party is enjoying having their pictures taken with lots of laughs and goofing around.

Thankfully not only was the weather was warm and beautiful, but there was still lots of red fall leaves around this downtown Denver area.

It was soon time for the ceremony to start at Space Gallery. Chelsey & Dave had a full house for their wedding with over 100 family and friends coming in to witness this joyous occasion. With a full guest count space was limited at Space. But with two photographers we were able to take our positions (from the front and from above), to capture two very different perspectives, as can be seen in these shots below of the bride walking up the aisle with her father. I love the expressions in both of these pictures..the bride is smiling ear to ear and her guests are as well as they see her for the first time.

For weddings at Space Gallery they will string up these beautiful white lights on their largest white wall which makes a stunning backdrop for the ceremony and later for the dance floor.

The candle lit aisle and red rose petals, as seen below, were also a great compliment to the ceremony decor. Chelsey & Dave had a good friend of theirs perform their short but sweet ceremony. Everyone was ecstatic and so happy to see them finally tie the knot.

After the ceremony we went back outside for a few more romantic wedding pictures of the bride and groom before the sun went down.

When it was time to sit down for dinner the groom started off the meal with a heartfelt introduction honoring their parents and showing admiration and gratitude to his beautiful wife.

The art on the walls at Space Gallery were a perfect backdrop for their unique and artistic wedding day. Below their cake topper, was borrowed from Dave’s grandparents, used for their own wedding day many years ago. The vintage cake topper stood out nicely against the bold modern art in the background.

After dinner, provided by Culinary Wave, the bride and groom moved to the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife.

DJ Paula at Center Stage Entertainment got the crowd pumped up with a mix of traditional wedding favorites as well as the bride and groom’s favorite house beats.
