Rachel & Brandon celebrated their love with a vintage inspired wedding at the historic Grant Humphreys Mansion. Rachel looked stunning in her simple yet elegant satin dress. Her 1920’s inspired hair style matched perfectly with large tight curls pinned back and accented with a vintage lace hair piece. The vintage cream shoes and the simple delicate flowers provided by Amore Fiori complimented the bride perfectly.

Their wedding ceremony took place on the front lawn of the mansion as the folk band A Hawk and a Hacksaw from Albuquerque, New Mexico created a unique soundtrack for all to enjoy. The weather was perfect for an outdoor wedding and Grant Humphreys Mansion turned out to be the ideal location for their vintage theme. As the sun quickly set over the mansion and you could even catch a glimpse of the Rocky Mountains through Governor’s Park directly across from the wedding venue.

The bride spent lots of time crafting all kinds of fun & unique vintage details for her wedding day.  My favorite most unique detail was the re-used window panels that she wrote messages on for her guests. Rachel also incorporated crocheted table numbers, teacup candles, hand-written name tags, along with many other vintage lace details.

After a beautiful ceremony and yummy dinner & cake provided by Kevin Taylor’s at the Opera House, it was time for some dancing!  Everyone moved to the basement for the reception which not only included dancing and drinks, but a “Funky, Fun, Photo Station” that we provided as a fun way to keep guests entertained with silly pictures. DJ West kept the music pumping and provided lots of fun colorful lights for the dance floor.  The mansion’s basement can be quite plain on its own, so as the photographer it’s always great to have these added lights to help the pictures look more dramatic and colorful…not to mention they also inspire people to dance more.

We also provided Fusion Video coverage so the bride and groom could have live action shots to share with their grandmother who was unable to make it to their wedding. Be sure to play the slideshow below to see more details from Rachel and Brandon’s wedding day including some shots from the “Funky, Fun, Photo Station”. Their Photo Station pictures are already online, and many more are soon to come!  Click here to go to their web gallery & to be sure to enter in your email address when viewing their pictures to be noticed when the rest are online.
