New Orleans and Denver Boudoir Photographer
Lisa and her husband both work tough jobs that force them to travel away from each other a lot. They both work long hours and don’t get to spend nearly as much time together as they would like, which is not always easy for these beautiful newlyweds. When their anniversary was getting near Lisa called me trying to decide on the best gift. When she told me she was debating between surprising her husband with either a large wall portrait of their engagement session that I had photographed a couple of years ago, or boudoir photos, I immediately voted for the boudoir pictures. Of course another piece of art from their engagement session would be great, but what guy doesn’t want beautiful sexy pictures of the love of his life, especially when you’re apart?! Lisa agreed and the boudoir photo shoot was scheduled during my next trip to New Orleans. We did these pictures in a hotel where she was staying for her job outside of town, so the hubby was far away and we had the place to ourselves for a couple of hours.

Trust me, small hotel rooms are not the easiest place to maneuver around with lighting and heavy gear. But I always appreciate the challenge and have to say I am LOVING the shots we captured in such a tiny space! We first did a casual shot in her work boots and a work shirt, followed by a sexy party dress, then black lingerie, and finally a few with just the blankets and her dazzling wedding ring. Like everyone, Lisa was a little nervous at first but she did an amazing job with her photos. She has a naturally glamorous look and I can’t stop trying to figure out what movie star or model she looks like, because she definitely looks movie star stunning in these pictures, as I’m sure her husband would agree. It was a fun boudoir photo shoot and so glad Lisa did this gift for her husband, and for herself.
