Why I Do What I Do? Part 2 – Why Did I Start a Private Facebook Group?
Welcome to my next edition of “Why I Do What I do!” This all started because someone asked me that exact question. And it inspired me to share my passion for boudoir photography with you!
Last time, I talked about how as an artist, I see people with a different perspective than they see themselves. It’s my goal to bring out that vision, to show each woman their beauty!

But why a Facebook group?
So, this week, let’s talk about why I have a private boudoir group- Romantic Rebellious Free Spirited Babes. The biggest reason is simply just for privately connecting with other women off of the huge public stage of social media. Not everyone wants to share their boudoir images publicly for ALL of their FB “friends” to see. And not everyone feels comfortable asking questions on their personal page about boudoir topics such as lingerie styles and body image.
When I discovered Facebook Groups, I was excited to try this new and different route to reach out to people. It would allow me to connect to women in a unique way. I love inspiring and empowering other women, I love connecting, I love having FUN! And I can do all things within a Facebook Group!
Covid-safe & an all around safe-space
Especially now with Covid, we could all use some extra love and positivity. Like many of you, I haven’t been able to get nearly as much adult interaction this year as normal. But this babes-only group offers an outlet and a chance to converse with others from the safety of our homes. I’m creating opportunities for women to connect to each other and that alone makes it worthwhile to me.
I also wanted to create a safe space – a place where you can share your dreams and fears, your accomplishments and failures. Sometimes, we just need somewhere to turn to without fear of being judged or shamed. Of course, we don’t want this to turn into a “bitch-fest” or a place that is draining. We definitely want this space to have an overwhelming positive influence on our members. I want you to share things that inspire you, things that make you laugh, stories that impact your life – I want to see it all! Sometimes we just need a place to vent or share our lives and hopefully, this space provides you with room to do that.
Advise, Uplift, Empower
If you have a day where you just need another woman’s advice on whatever’s getting to you (i.e., how to handle your crazy family or deciding which outfit for your photo shoot looks best at you), I’m sure there are lots of women in there that are willing to lend an ear. Overall, my goal for my Facebook Group is to offer an uplifting, empowering, inspiring place for women to go. We need that in this world. So please come join us and see what it’s all about!!
